Third graders from Lilja School hold up their local history passports at the end of one of our 2024 field trips, “On This Land: Indigenous and English Life in Early Natick.” During the program, students read historical maps, made their own maps, handled stone tools, studied a 1685 edition of the Bible, completed a museum scavenger hunt, played colonial-era games, wrote with quill pens, and made whirligigs (an 18th-century fidget).
